EVERYONE is welcome to come to enjoy an unusual fun day and companion dog show this weekend.
It is held by British Manchester Terrier Club at Witney Rugby Football Club, between Witney and Hailey, on Saturday.
"All dogs and their owners are welcome to join us to help celebrate the club's 70th anniversary," said Mick Oxley, of BMTC.
About 100 Manchester Terriers from all parts of Britain are expected to take part. But there is a reason why this event is rather special.
"The Manchester Terrier is one of 28 breeds listed by the Kennel Club as endangered," explained Mr Oxley. "This old English breed is considered vulnerable, because fewer than 300 puppies are born each year."
He added: "In spite of this, or more probably because of this, the British Manchester Terrier Club is very active in promoting all aspects of dog activity. You can even have a go at beginners' agility and jumping. Everyone is welcome."
Entries will be taken from noon, and event is held in aid of the Manchester Terrier welfare.
